SAT I (Scholastic Aptitude Test)

The SAT I test is required by many East and West Coast colleges as well as by many selective colleges.  Students must register in advance with the Education Testing Service in Princeton, New Jersey.  Registration materials are available in the guidance office.  Students also have the option of registering online at collegeboard.com.

SAT will send score reports to any college the student desires.  The first four college reports are included as part of the basic fee, with additional college reports requiring an additional fee. SAT II (Achievement Tests)

SAT II tests are required only by certain colleges.  Typically, these tests are required by competitive/prestigious colleges and are used as an additional means of discriminating between applicants.  SAT II tests attempt to measure how much information a student has learned in the subject area being tested.

Students who must take the SAT I and SAT II tests should carefully select their test dates to be certain they will have their scores in time to meet college application deadlines.  SAT II applications are in the Guidance Office.  Information about SAT II test dates is included on the application.
